Once we chose the undead scripts, we had to find some ghoulish people to bring them to life.  These brave souls are working with around 50 actors and crew.  We thank our hardworking directors for their tireless hours.  Zombie wrangling is not easy!

George Robert Bailey

George Robert Bailey (Mama Didn't Raise no Zombie) is delighted to be directing his first show for The Alley.  Last July, he directed The Foreigner for Hayswood Theatre.  He can be seen in the indie horror film Red River and the upcoming slasher sequel Intrusion 2: Disconnected

Look him up on your smartphones as Bad Breath Charlie in a webisode of Republican Marriage and Sex Advice.  His wife thinks he should have left out that last credit.

Originally wanting to be a fashion designer, she settled for rock star with the Plan B of famous photographer, earning her BFA with a concentration in photography from the University of Louisville.

These days she can be found behind the scenes at The Alley Theater doing the ever so sexy work of Managing Director (who DOESN’T find bank reconciliations, contracts, and budgets scintillating?), behind the camera lens as part of Louisville based eElaine Photography, behind the bass guitar in the local band Old Man, and always behind the cutest little hanger-on in show business, her son Elliott.

She is honored that the nice people at the theater think she is creative enough to try her hand at directing, and thanks to her talented cast, has enjoyed the process immensely.

Kenn is proud of his cast and feels they are perfect for their roles, bringing this comedy to life and connecting with the audience in a very personal manner!

Kenn is currently acting as Han Solo (and a few other savory characters) in the sold out performances of Star Wars: The Original Trilogy in 60 minutes or Less, playing through April.  A few of Kenn's recent roles include: “Morpheus” in The Matrix Live.  “Hatter Madigan” The Looking Glass Wars.  “Bodhi” in Point Break Live.  The “Lion Tamer” & “Trixie” in Two VaVa Vixen Productions & so much more.

Jillian Rose SpencerJillian Spencer (Zombie! A New Musical) grew up in Louisville and has a BS in Theater (yes, a bachelors of science) from the University of Louisville. Things were going well for her until the spring of 2010 when an evil doctor injected her with a zombie serum. She was trapped under his control eating brains and watching bad cable TV until she was able to escape.

She is very grateful to The Alley for looking past her unfortunate disability of being a zombie because they have allowed her to continue her passion even while undead. Recently at The Alley she sprayed the audience with blood while stage managing Evil Dead: The Musical, delved into the minds of the machines while stage managing The Matrix Live!, and most recently she stage managed the Underworld with Eurydice.

She is excited to being working on material that is sensitive to the undead lifestyle, with The InHuman:A Festival.

Ben UnwinBen Unwin (Necromas) is excited to be directing Necromas for its second perfomance since its original production in 2008 for Bellarmine University.

As a director he's worked often with Bellarmine on such productions as Robert Patrick's Help, I Am and Carlos Manuel's No Clue. As a writer he has had several plays performed in the Finnigan Festival of Funky Fresh Fun including Sympathy for the Techno and Looney Tunes.

His best wishes and special thanks go out to Jillian for everything and to Matt for whom all the best jokes come pouring from his mouth.

: The mission of the Alley Theater is to produce progressive theater and to provide an affordable venue for both traditional and experimental artists. The Alley Theater strives to include the entire community in its audiences and on its stage.

The Alley Theater was formed in 1993 for the purpose of fostering original alternative performance works in the Louisville area and to offer local productions of progressive, previously established theatrical productions.

The Alley resided in the Highlands area of Louisville and served that community for under 4 years. In December of 2007, The Alley Theater returned to Louisville in a new facility located within the City Block Entertainment complex. During that year The Alley Theater ran productions throughout 2008, to determine if an alternative theatrical cabaret would be viable in the Louisville area. The Alley saw its audience base grow exponentially in 2008 and determined that investing in a full-time performance and visual arts complex was the next step in its growth.

Sixteen years after The Alley Theater first debuted in the Highlands, the organization is proud to bring the community a new multi-functional performance venue.
